About Us
Bethel Baptist Church is an independent New Testament Baptist church. Our ministry began in July 1995, and was originally known as Timberlane Baptist Church. The ministry started with three families who came to the Plaistow area from Victory Baptist Church of Londonderry, New Hampshire. After their original pastor decided to return to Victory Baptist Church, Timberlane Baptist Church called Norm Bennett to be their Pastor in July of 1997, and he continues to be our Pastor today. In the fall of 2005 the name was changed to Bethel Baptist Church to reflect a personal influence.
As a New Testament Baptist church it is our desire to be actively engaged in sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ and the discipleship of those that repent and believe on Jesus Christ. Personal witnessing, door–to–door evangelization, tract distribution, and a bus ministry are some of the ways in which we are attempting to reach our community with the gospel of Jesus Christ. As we increase in laborers it is our desire to begin additional ministries.
Bethel Baptist Church is conservative in its doctrine and ministries in order to reflect our Lord’s desire for a holy people. We use the Bible as our sole authority for faith and practice, and we are dispensational in our interpretation of the Bible. We believe that all men have a responsibility to repent and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and that God desires all men to be saved. As Baptists we believe baptism follows a profession of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and as a believer the Lord intends to have us participate actively in the local New Testament Church. We welcome all who would like to attend, and are eager to help any who are seeking the Lord Jesus Christ.
We are currently transitioning to the church property at 11 Mill Road in Kingston , NH. This is a recent blessing for our church that we are now going to have our own church building and we are looking forward to enjoying our own personal church home! We welcome all visitors.
